President of Uganda and Upcoming Pop singer Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to release his latest jam Kwezi which will also be his campaign song for the looming election.
Kwezi is the third song in five years since he last released Mpenkoni, which turned out to be a hit in the run up to the 2011 general election.
According to a source close to the matter, the song is finally done and waiting its release anytime soon and it will be about “NRM and its achievements”. Recently, the president invited top producer, Washington to his home at Statehouse, Entebbe where they recorded the new tune.
Mpenkoni, his previous track, was a success, and would have been a breakout hit for a commercial artiste. Already, the song has enjoyed massive play for a Ugandan song. It had garnered 4,487 plays and 7,493 had downloaded it barely two days after it was released.
The president is hoping Kwezi will do even better as he faces a tough general election next year.
